Four new paintings unveiled at the Museum November 2010
Four new paintings were unveiled at the Museum on November 21, 2010 during a fundraising event. The paintings are on loan from the Burrichter/Kierlin Marine Art Museum and will be on permanent display beginning December 7, 2010. The paintings are William Frederick de Hass “White Island Light- Isle of Shoals” (1879), John F. Kensett “At Newport” (1870), Georgia O’Keefe “Lake George, Autumn” (1922) and Pablo Picasso “Homme Assis” (1933).
Five new paintings unveiled at the Museum April 2010
Five new paintings were unveiled at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona, MN on April 11 during a VIP fundraising event. The paintings are on loan from the Burrichter/Kierlin Marine Art Museum and are now on permanent display in the Museum's Impressionist and Hudson River School Art gallery. Four of the five paintings are artists new to the museum including Vincent van Gogh, Thomas Moran, Frederic Church and John Singer Sargent as well as another Winslow Homer. Each are welcome additions to the Museum's exhibitions.
